Noida | February 2026
Preparations are underway to open a new link road connecting Noida and Greater Noida, offering faster travel and easing traffic congestion.
Direct Connectivity Between Sector-146–147 and LG Chowk
A new connecting road is being developed to link Noida’s Sector-146 and 147 with LG Chowk in Greater Noida. The project aims to improve inter-city mobility and reduce dependence on the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway.
The link road is expected to significantly cut travel time between the two cities while offering an alternative route for daily commuters.
Road Construction by Both Authorities in Full Swing
The Noida Authority and Greater Noida Authority are executing road construction work within their respective jurisdictions. Both sides are developing approach roads, ensuring standard width, surface quality and safety features.
Officials stated that the approach road work on both ends is progressing rapidly and nearing completion.
Hindon River Bridge a Key Component
A major component of the project is the bridge being constructed over the Hindon River. The bridge is being built by the Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation. Structural work has largely been completed, with finishing and safety-related tasks underway.
Once completed, the bridge will provide seamless connectivity between the two cities.
Traffic Movement Expected to Begin in July
Authorities indicated that the link road could be opened to the public by July, subject to final inspections, trial runs and safety approvals. Upon completion, the road will cater to office commuters, industrial traffic and local residents.
Expressway Traffic Load to Ease
With the opening of the link road, traffic pressure on the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway is expected to reduce significantly. The new route will act as an alternative corridor, improving traffic distribution and reducing congestion during peak hours.
Boost to Local Development and Connectivity
Improved connectivity is expected to spur development in nearby sectors, benefiting residential, commercial and industrial zones. Authorities believe the link road will play a crucial role in strengthening the region’s long-term urban transport network.
