A devastating accident on Friday morning shook the Bhankrota area on the Jaipur-Ajmer National Highway. At around 5:30 AM, a collision between an LPG tanker and a truck resulted in a massive explosion, causing widespread destruction. The explosion was so powerful that its sound was heard up to 10 kilometers away, and flames were visible from a distance. The tragic incident claimed the lives of five people, who were charred to death, while several others were injured.
Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma over the phone to discuss the severity of the accident. Shah expressed deep concern over the loss of lives and urged the administration to expedite relief and rescue operations. He also emphasized taking effective measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma visited the site to assess the situation. He inspected the ongoing relief and rescue efforts and directed the officials present to take immediate action. Sharing his observations on social media platform X, he wrote, “Visited the unfortunate incident site on the Jaipur-Ajmer National Highway where a gas tanker caught fire. Assessed the situation and reviewed the rescue and relief operations. Directed officials to act promptly and ensure necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future.”
The Chief Minister also visited SMS Hospital to oversee the medical care being provided to the injured. He instructed the doctors to ensure immediate and adequate medical facilities for the victims. Expressing his condolences on social media, he wrote, “Deeply saddened by the tragic news of casualties in the gas tanker fire incident on the Jaipur-Ajmer National Highway. Visited SMS Hospital and directed doctors to provide all necessary medical aid to the injured. May the departed souls rest in peace, and may the bereaved families find the strength to endure this immense loss. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured.”
The incident created chaos in the area, with the flames engulfing several vehicles, reducing them to ashes. Local administration and emergency services were immediately deployed and worked tirelessly to control the fire. Rescue and relief efforts continued at a war footing.
