New Delhi, 22 August : The Indian Naval Ship INS Sunayna has arrived at Durban Port in South Africa. The South African Navy ship SAS King Sekhukhune I received the Indian ship at Durban. After an exchange of pleasantries at sea, the ship entered the port of Durban.
The ship was received by Commander Kenneth Singh, Acting Flag Officer Commanding Naval Base Durban, and officers from HCI Pretoria. Apart from celebrating 30 years of diplomatic partnership between India and South Africa, the visit aims to enhance interoperability, connectivity, and mutual cooperation between the Indian and South African nations.
During the port calls, both navies will share best practises and experiences through professional interactions, subject-matter expert exchanges, and cross-deck visits. In addition, social interactions with senior military and civilian dignitaries have also been planned.
