In a powerful statement that has quickly gone viral, Indian diplomat Anupama Singh called out Pakistan’s role in fostering terrorism during a session at the World Health Organization (WHO) headquarters in Geneva. Exercising India’s right of reply, Anupama Singh firmly declared that “a state that breeds terrorism cannot masquerade as its victim,” highlighting India’s growing global outreach to counter false narratives and assert its right to self-defence after Operation Sindoor.
Sharp words at WHO and India’s measured response
Speaking on the global platform, Anupama Singh accused Pakistan of being a sponsor and sanctuary for terrorism, stating that the “sponsors and organisers of terrorism operate from Pakistani soil.” Referring to India’s military response, she said, “In response, India launched Operation Sindoor, precise, proportionate and focused on the infrastructure of terror inside Pakistan.” She also underlined India’s restraint during the operation, clarifying that their response ensured no harm to Pakistani civilians, focusing only on terrorist targets and their known hideouts. Anupama Singh dismissed Pakistan’s consistent misinformation on the Indus Waters Treaty as another example of deflection from the real issues.

Their mission is to explain India’s position post-Operation Sindoor and expose Pakistan’s decades-long sheltering of terrorist organisations. The Ministry of External Affairs echoed India’s firm stance on social media, writing “Zero tolerance against terrorism” as these diplomatic teams began their outreach.
