The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially announced the schedule for the Chartered Accountancy (CA) May 2025 examinations. Aspiring candidates are advised to mark their calendars as the examination dates, application deadlines, and other important details have been released.
According to the notification, the CA Foundation, Intermediate, and Final examinations will be conducted over various dates in May 2025. The CA Foundation examinations are scheduled from May 15 to May 21, while the CA Intermediate examinations will take place between May 3 and May 14. The CA Final examinations are set to be held from May 2 to May 13. Additionally, the Post Qualification Course Examination in International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT–AT) is also part of the schedule.
Candidates interested in appearing for the May 2025 CA examinations must apply online through the Self-Service Portal (SSP) of ICAI at https://eservices.icai.org. The online application process will commence on March 1, 2025. Applications can be submitted without a late fee until March 14, 2025. However, candidates who miss this deadline can still apply by paying a late fee of ₹600, with the final date for submission being March 17, 2025.
To facilitate candidates in addressing any changes, ICAI has also announced a correction window. This facility allows candidates to modify their examination city or medium of the examination. The correction window will be open from March 18 to March 20, 2025. This short window ensures candidates have the flexibility to make necessary adjustments to their application details.
The duration of the examinations varies depending on the course level. The CA Foundation and CA Final examinations will have a duration of three hours, while the CA Intermediate examination will be conducted for two hours. The Post Qualification Course Examination in International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT–AT) will be held for four hours, reflecting the comprehensive nature of this advanced assessment.
Candidates will have the option to answer their papers in either English or Hindi for the Foundation, Intermediate, and Final examinations. However, for the Post Qualification Course Examination in International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT–AT), the medium of examination will be strictly English. This ensures clarity and consistency, especially for international taxation subjects, which are heavily reliant on technical terminology and global standards.
ICAI has emphasized that all candidates should carefully read the instructions and guidelines provided on the official portal before applying for the examinations. The portal offers detailed information regarding the application process, examination dates, eligibility criteria, and fee payment. Candidates are also encouraged to ensure that their details are accurate and complete to avoid any issues during the application or examination process.
