Amid rising temperatures and extreme summer heat, Bachpan Bachao Seva Samiti has launched a major public welfare campaign to install clean drinking water booths across Noida’s industrial sectors. The initiative will cover sectors 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, and 65 to provide relief to workers, commuters, and the general public during the peak summer season.
The organization stated that the campaign aims to ensure access to safe and chilled drinking water for thousands of labourers and factory workers who spend long hours outdoors or in industrial environments. The initiative is being viewed as an important humanitarian effort during the ongoing heatwave conditions.
Workers And Commuters To Benefit From Free Water Facilities
Gaurav Kumar Yadav, General Secretary of the organization, said the primary objective of the campaign is to provide clean drinking water to people who need it the most. Industrial areas witness heavy daily movement of workers, factory employees, and commuters, making public drinking water facilities extremely important during summer.
According to the organization, the water booths will provide purified drinking water free of cost. The initiative is expected to help people stay hydrated and reduce the risk of heat-related illnesses and dehydration.
Noida Authority Assures Support To Initiative
As part of the campaign preparations, Gaurav Kumar Yadav and National Secretary Ajay Singh met Noida Authority CEO Krishna Karunesh and Additional CEO Vandana Tripathi. During the meeting, officials appreciated the organization’s efforts and assured full cooperation for the public welfare initiative.
Authorities stated that strengthening public drinking water facilities during the summer season is essential, especially in rapidly developing industrial regions like Noida where large numbers of workers remain active throughout the day.
Campaign To Expand To Other Areas Of Noida
Organization President Kailash Shah and Treasurer Manoj Jaiswal said the campaign has initially started in industrial sectors but may later expand to other parts of the city based on public need.
The organization is reportedly identifying additional crowded locations, markets, and public spaces where similar facilities can be installed in the coming weeks. Social workers associated with the campaign believe such initiatives become increasingly important during extreme weather conditions.
Citizens And NGOs Asked To Support Public Welfare Drive
The organization has appealed to citizens and social groups to support the campaign and contribute to similar public welfare activities. According to the NGO, collective community efforts can help provide relief to a larger number of people during the harsh summer season.
The drinking water campaign is being seen as a meaningful initiative for workers and residents struggling with rising temperatures in Noida. Such efforts are also strengthening community participation and public service activities across the city.
