In view of the upcoming Holi festival, the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department has launched a proactive campaign to ensure residents of the district have access to pure and safe food and beverages. Under the guidance of the District Magistrate, officers are conducting inspections at various food establishments and collecting samples to be sent to laboratories for testing.

Assistant Commissioner, Food Division II, Sarvesh Mishra, stated that today the team led by Food Safety Officers S.K. Pandey and Vishal Kumar Gupta collected one sample of refined ricebran oil from the tank and one packed refined ricebran oil sample from the Kapil Kumar & Brothers oil production unit located in Brahmpuri, Dadri.
Similarly, the team of Food Safety Officers Ritu Saxena and Amar Bahadur Saroj collected one sample of paneer from Brajvasi Paneer Bhandar in Sector 27, Noida, and one sample of khoya from Garhwal Dairy. Additionally, during inspection at Kishanpuri Traders, Sector 65, Noida, 15 kg in 5 tins of refined soybean oil (Future Active brand) were found, and due to incorrect labeling, one sample was collected and the remaining oil was seized.

In total, five samples were collected and sent to the laboratory for testing. The Assistant Commissioner emphasized that this campaign will continue under the District Magistrate’s direction, with regular sample collection from food establishments across the district.
The primary objective of this inspection drive is to ensure that residents receive food and beverages that meet prescribed safety and quality standards during the Holi festival. The initiative is vital for public health protection, preventing adulteration, and safeguarding consumers from potential risks.
