Lucknow, 10 Sept (HS): Flights from Ayodhya’s Maryada Purshottam Sri Ram International Airport to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad will commence in November. Flights for Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad will be operational from November, said Vinod Kumar, director of the Ayodhya International Airport. Flights to more cities will be launched later, depending on demand. According to Ayodhya District Magistrate Nitish Kumar, the runway for phase one of the airport has been built, and 78% of the construction on the airport’s terminal building has been done.
According to the district magistrate, the airport would include a night landing facility. The Airport Authority of India (AAI) is rushing to complete the Ayodhya airport project.
The airport will be built on 821 acres of land and is expected to cost Rs 320 crore. The airport will feature 24 aircraft parking spaces. Initially, small planes with space for 60 passengers would arrive at the airport. By the time the airport’s last phase is completed in 2025, it will be ready to land Boeings.
According to AAI officials, the airport’s main building and entrance will transport tourists to the Ramayana era. The airport’s height will be similar to the Ram temple. Lord Ram’s main weapon, a bow and arrow, as well as other Ramayana artifacts, will be displayed on the walls of the airport lounge area.
