In his address to the Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday criticized the Congress party. He asserted that inflation consistently rises whenever the Congress is in power. He also accused the party of seeking to “cancel” various initiatives, including Atmanirbhar Bharat, Vande Bharat, and the Central Vista project.
In his response to the discussion on the Motion of Thanks on the President’s address in the Lok Sabha, PM Modi expressed his confidence that “India will become the third-largest economy in BJP’s third term.” He stated that in the upcoming term, the BJP is poised to secure 370 seats, while the NDA is expected to achieve a total of 400 seats, emphasizing his trust in the Indian people.
“The third term of our government is not very far now. Only 100-125 days remain to go…I don’t go into numbers but I can see the mood of the country. It will make the NDA cross 400 and BJP will definitely get 370 seats…The third term will be about taking very big decisions…,” PM Modi said.
PM Modi alleged that the Congress party has hindered the rise of its younger generation through the ranks, emphasizing the need for a credible opposition in the country. Taking a swipe at the Congress, he mentioned the political shifts of senior leaders, attributing them to dynastic politics and suggesting it’s time for change.
Regarding the INDIA alliance, PM Modi noted signs of dysfunction within the coalition, citing a lack of trust among its partners and raising concerns about their ability to foster trust nationally. He also took a sharp dig on Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi. In his address, PM Modi said, “Ek hi product baar-baar launch karne ke chakkar mein, Congress ki dukaan tala lagne ki naubat aa gayi hai…”
PM Modi concluded by expressing his belief in the BJP’s goals and determination, asserting that the party’s momentum and pace of operation outshine the Congress party’s capabilities, as observed by the world.
