In the nation’s capital Delhi, amidst deepening water crisis, police officers have inspected pipelines of the Jal Board in the Yamuna Khadar area and Hazrat Nizamuddin area of northeastern Delhi to detect theft and leakage of water and stated that there is no leakage in the pipelines.
Before this, Delhi’s Water Minister Atishi wrote a letter to the Delhi Police Commissioner requesting him to deploy police forces to investigate the ongoing water crisis in Delhi.
In this letter, Delhi’s Minister said that I request the Commissioner of Delhi to order the Delhi Police to patrol the major pipelines of Delhi for 15 days from today.In such a time when there is already a shortage of water in Delhi, if someone tries to steal in these major pipelines, he will first worsen the situation. The police have patrolled some areas in Delhi yesterday and today.
The Delhi Police have also patrolled the Yamuna Khadar area of Northeast Delhi after petrol.
