The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has launched the DDA Shramik Awaas Yojana 2025, offering over 6,500 flats in Delhi at a 25% discount for eligible building and construction workers. This initiative aims to provide affordable housing to workers registered with the Delhi Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (DBOCWWB) and those under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. The registration process began on January 6, 2025, and will remain open until March 31, 2025. Allotments will be made on a first-come, first-served (FCFS) basis, making early registration crucial for interested applicants.
Under the scheme, flats are available in key locations, including Narela, Siraspur, and Loknayakpuram. The available units cater to various income groups, including LIG (Low Income Group), MIG (Middle Income Group), HIG (High Income Group), and EWS (Economically Weaker Section). The initiative aims to address the housing needs of laborers and provide them with quality living spaces at subsidized rates.
To qualify for the scheme, applicants must be registered construction workers with DBOCWWB on or before December 31, 2024. Additionally, individuals registered under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme are also eligible. The scheme provides an opportunity for these workers to secure affordable housing in Delhi, ensuring better living conditions and financial security for their families.
Interested buyers can apply through the official DDA website by following a simple registration process. First, they need to create login credentials using their PAN and other required details. Once registered, they must log in and apply for the scheme by paying a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 2,500, inclusive of GST. Applicants must also submit relevant documents, including proof of income for EWS applicants and evidence of registration with DBOCWWB or the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. Additional documentation as outlined in the DDA Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme 2024 brochure may also be required.
Prospective buyers have the option to visit the sample flats physically before making a purchase decision. Site visits can be arranged through the DDA portal, and customers can contact DDA representatives for further details on available units. To assist applicants, DDA has set up a dedicated helpline at 1800-011-0332, a helpdesk at Vikas Sadan, and a kiosk at Rajiv Chowk Metro Station for in-person queries. Information camps are also being organized across Delhi to guide potential buyers through the application process.
With the March 31 deadline approaching, eligible applicants are encouraged to apply early and take advantage of this opportunity to secure discounted housing in Delhi.
