Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 14 (ANI): In the BJP Working Committee meeting held in Lucknow, National President JP Nadda said that the Congress has become a “parasitic party” that needs the support of other regional parties to stand in public.

He termed the Congress party a “parasite” and said they stand on the support of regional parties and later destroy them.

Addressing the meeting, JP Nadda said, “Bharatiya Janata Party is not only the party of the present, but also of the future. The responsibility that is on our shoulders is not seasonal, that responsibility is on our shoulders forever. The 2024 election reflects the fact that if the people of India have supported us for the third consecutive time in 2024 under the leadership of Modi Ji, then it is for a developed India. This future is in our hands. It is our responsibility to handle it carefully.”

JP Nadda said that the results of these elections have shown that the Bharatiya Janata Party is the only Pan India party, which is present everywhere in the East, West, North, and South. We are the representatives of 140 crore countrymen. On the other hand, other parties, which are capable in the North East, are zero in Central India. If someone is capable in North India, he is not seen in South India. If someone is capable in West India, then no one takes his name in the East. If someone is capable in the Middle, then no one takes his name anywhere in the North, East, or West.

“These people used to make fun of us in 1984 for being a party of two members. Today, the same party ruled the country once under the leadership of Atal Ji, and under the leadership of Modi Ji, we are getting the blessings of the people for the third consecutive time,” said Nadda.

BJP’s National President also attacked Congress and said, “I want to ask Congress that the number of MPs who won in all three elections did not even cross our number of 240. After three elections, they could not cross the figure of 100. Congress party has been zero in 13 states. In Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh, where there was a direct fight with Congress on 64 seats, only 2 seats went to Congress and 62 seats went to BJP. Where Congress fought alone, its strike rate was 26 percent and where it fought with other parties, its strike rate was 50 percent. That means Congress has become a parasitic party today. It is not standing on its own feet; it is standing on the votes of others. Today this party is standing on crutches.”

While discussing the achievements of Uttar Pradesh, JP Nadda said, “Today, UP has become the second largest economy of the country. There was a time when it would take morning till evening to reach Bulandshahr from Delhi. Today, there are floods of motorways in UP; elevated roads, underpasses, bypasses, medical colleges, and AIIMS were built in 10 years. Today, I can say with pride that world-class health systems have been created in Varanasi, Gorakhpur, and eastern Uttar Pradesh. Have you ever thought of these things before 2017?

Earlier in the day, the Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party started its State Working Committee meeting at the Ambedkar Auditorium of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Law University in Lucknow on Sunday, the first meeting of the party’s poor performance in the 2024 Lok Sabha, winning fewer seats than expected in the general elections.

The meeting is a big one-day meet where the BJP’s National President, JP Nadda, is expected to be present and participate. Chief Minister of UP Yogi Adityanath, Deputy CMs Brajesh Pathak and KP Maurya and other ministers and workers have already arrived at the venue and started the meeting.

The main agenda of the meeting is the passing of political proposals, which will be placed by the working committee, along with tributes to be paid to the party workers and officials who have passed away working for the party.

The political proposal will include discussions on the upcoming by-elections for ten seats, a review of the Lok Sabha elections, and the future roadmap following the election defeat. (ANI)
