The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to organize its second national summit focused on “Facilitating School to Work Transition” on November 21, 2024. The summit aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully navigate their transition from school to the professional world. The event will take place from 10 AM to 5 PM at Bhubaneswar and is open to heads of CBSE-affiliated schools.
Recognizing the growing demand for skilled professionals in various industries, CBSE emphasizes the importance of evolving educational institutions to meet these needs. An official notification from CBSE states, “As the demand for skilled professionals continues to grow, it is crucial that our educational institutions evolve to meet these needs. Our goal is to ensure that students are well-prepared to enter the workforce and contribute meaningfully to society.”
The upcoming summit will serve as a platform for insightful discussions and innovative strategies aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and the workforce. It will foster collaboration among educators, industry leaders, and policymakers, focusing on best practices for facilitating this crucial transition. The event will also address strategies for training educators in effective skilling methodologies and practices, ensuring that students are actively engaged in skill development programs that make learning more relevant and practical.
The summit will feature presentations and discussions led by eminent speakers, including policymakers, educationists, and industry leaders, who will share their insights on promoting skill education. Additionally, the summit will provide an opportunity for participating schools and students to showcase the best practices they have implemented to enhance skill education within their institutions.
Importantly, there is no fee for attending the National Summit, and participation will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. This approach encourages early registration and active involvement from educational leaders eager to contribute to the discussion on skill development and workforce readiness.
By facilitating this summit, CBSE aims to create a conducive environment for knowledge exchange and collaboration, ultimately enhancing educational programs to better equip students for their future careers. The insights gained from the summit are expected to significantly impact how educational institutions approach skill development, ensuring that students are prepared to meet the demands of the evolving job market.
