IMS Noida’s community radio station Salaam Namaste has launched a new and meaningful initiative titled “Career Express”, aimed at guiding students and young aspirants toward informed career choices. The inaugural episode of the program was organized at the IMS Noida campus located in Sector-62, where educationists and subject experts shared valuable insights on career planning, academic preparation, and future opportunities.
The programme witnessed the presence of Adarsh Public School Principal Ashok Kothiyal, teacher Gulshan Singh, and Dean of IMS Noida, Professor (Dr.) Neelam Saxena, who participated as keynote speakers. Through their discussions, the speakers addressed crucial aspects such as board examination preparation, choosing the right subjects, effective time management, goal setting, and career awareness.

Speaking on the occasion, Station Head of Salaam Namaste, Ms. Varsha Chhabaria, explained that Career Express is a specially designed programme focused on career guidance, education awareness, and holistic community development. She stated that the initiative aims to provide young listeners with direct interaction with experts, exposure to emerging career opportunities, and inspiration from real-life success stories.
She further added that Career Express would regularly feature discussions on career trends, scholarship opportunities, higher education options, and skill development. The programme will also include motivational stories and interactive sessions with professionals from various fields, enabling students to make informed and confident career decisions.
During the session, Principal Ashok Kothiyal emphasized that students should select their subjects and career paths based on their interests, abilities, and aptitude rather than societal pressure. He highlighted that discipline, consistency, and self-belief are the pillars of academic success. He encouraged students to stay focused, practice regularly, and maintain a positive mindset to overcome academic challenges.

Teacher Gulshan Singh, while addressing the students, shared practical tips for board examination preparation. He stressed the importance of effective time management, understanding concepts thoroughly, and revising the syllabus systematically. According to him, success in examinations depends not only on hard work but also on smart planning and a positive attitude. He motivated students to stay calm, confident, and disciplined during their preparation phase.
Adding a new perspective to the discussion, IMS Noida Dean Professor (Dr.) Neelam Saxena spoke in detail about the rising importance of green careers. She highlighted how environmental sustainability is emerging as a major global concern and how it is opening new career avenues for youth. She explained that fields such as solar energy, wind energy, waste management, water conservation, and sustainable agriculture offer vast employment opportunities in the coming years.
Dr. Saxena further stated that careers like solar engineer, energy auditor, environmental scientist, and sustainability consultant are gaining prominence due to increasing focus on climate change and eco-friendly development. She encouraged students to consider these future-oriented careers and contribute positively to environmental protection while building successful professional lives.
The launch of Career Express was well received by students, educators, and members of the academic community. The initiative reflects IMS Noida’s commitment to empowering youth with knowledge, guidance, and practical insights to help them make informed career decisions.
