The ancient city of Ayodhya bore witness to an extraordinary and long-anticipated event as the consecration of Ram Lalla in the grand Ram temple unfolded today. Speaking on this historic occasion, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, conveyed the profound significance of this moment, emphasizing the monumental nature of this long-awaited achievement.
In a statement that resonated with millions, the Union Minister declared, “The wait and promise of five centuries have been fulfilled today.” He went on to describe the day as “unforgettable” for countless devotees of Prabhu Shri Ram, expressing his own deep emotions. Shah acknowledged the inherent inadequacy of words to encapsulate this historic occasion and paid tribute to the unwavering faith and resolute determination that had persisted through generations. He also lauded the courage of those who, in the face of fear and adversity, had unwaveringly pursued the reconstruction of the temple at Shri Ramjanmabhoomi.
In his official statement, Amit Shah attributed the realization of this dream to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, expressing his heartfelt gratitude.
It is pertinent to note that, the consecration ceremony, presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marked the homecoming of Lord Ram after an interval of five centuries. The first glimpse of Ram Lalla, sculpted by the talented artist Arun Yogiraj of Mysuru, was unveiled to the world as the scarf covering the idol’s eyes was removed.
The consecration ceremony revealed a heavily adorned Ram Lalla idol, resplendent in gold jewelry and adorned with precious gemstones including diamonds, emeralds, and rubies. The idol, holding a bow and arrow made of gold, radiated an aura of grandeur and sanctity.
