The eagerly awaited release of the artificial intelligence film “IRaH” in India has been postponed due to regulatory setbacks and delays in complying with provisions outlined in the Indian Gazette published on March 15, 2024. Produced and directed by Sam Bhattacharjee under the banner of Big Films Media DCreative Studios LLP, the journey to the big screen has encountered obstacles, with Bhattacharjee expressing frustration over the treatment received from the censor department.
Despite provisions for priority viewing, allowing filmmakers to expedite the examination process with an additional fee, delays in securing a timely censor viewing date have impeded the progress of “IRaH.”
Starring Rohit Bose Roy, Rajesh Sharma, Karishma Kotak, Fagun Thakrar, and Ameet Chana, the film promises a captivating narrative exploring cultural diversity and the ethical implications of technology.
Efforts are underway to secure a pan-India release on April 19, 2024, with a Curtain Raiser scheduled for April 18, 2024, pending censor clearance.
While the film has already generated excitement in the United Kingdom, with several sold-out shows, the Indian release remains eagerly anticipated, with exhibitors and viewers expressing enthusiasm despite the delay.
“IRaH” is set to offer audiences a thought-provoking narrative and gripping performances, promising a cinematic experience that will leave a lasting impression.
