In a shocking incident at the Shastri Path police station in Jaipur, an army soldier was reportedly assaulted by police officers, leading to an immediate intervention by Rajasthan’s Minister for Industries and Sports, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore. The soldier, stationed in Kashmir and in Jaipur for personal reasons, was allegedly detained and subjected to severe mistreatment by the police.
Minister Rathore, upon learning of the incident, made an unannounced visit to the police station on Monday afternoon. During his visit, he strongly condemned the actions of the station officer and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sanjay Sharma. Rathore criticized the police conduct as inhumane and demanded accountability for those involved.
The minister’s remarks highlighted that the soldier had been stripped, beaten, and insulted with derogatory comments about the military. Rathore emphasized that such behavior is unacceptable and called for immediate and stringent action against the officers responsible. He urged the Jaipur Police Commissioner and the Director General of Police to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to address the incident.
Rathore’s visit and his reprimand of the police officers were documented and have since circulated widely on social media, drawing significant public attention to the case. The incident has sparked outrage and calls for justice, underscoring the need for accountability and respect for the armed forces.
