Zoho Unveils Study on SaaS Adoption Challenges, Plans AI Model Launch in 2024Zoho, in collaboration with IDC, has released a comprehensive study highlighting the challenges businesses face in adopting Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions in India. The report, titled “IDC State of SaaS Adoption in India Survey,” reveals that companies can lose up to Rs 5.6 crore in revenue due to delays in implementing SaaS-based systems. These setbacks are primarily attributed to integration issues, security concerns, and technological barriers, making it clear that efficient SaaS deployment is crucial for business growth and digital transformation.
According to the study, many enterprises struggle with the complexity of integrating SaaS solutions into their existing infrastructure. Security remains a significant hurdle, with organizations expressing concerns over data privacy, compliance, and the ability to maintain operational resilience while transitioning to cloud-based systems. Additionally, technological limitations, including outdated IT infrastructure and lack of skilled personnel, further slow down the adoption process.
Recognizing these challenges, Zoho is committed to providing businesses with solutions that streamline the adoption of new technologies while minimizing deployment delays. The company has been focusing on simplifying SaaS integration to ensure businesses can implement cloud-based solutions without disrupting their ongoing operations.
In a significant move toward innovation, Zoho is also developing its own foundational artificial intelligence (AI) models. These models are currently in the research and development (R&D) phase, with plans for an official launch later this year. Zoho’s AI initiatives align with the broader industry trend of companies investing in proprietary AI technologies to enhance automation, optimize workflows, and deliver more intelligent business solutions.
Mani Vembu, CEO of Zoho, emphasized the company’s commitment to addressing industry-wide challenges while pushing forward with AI-driven advancements. “Our small language models are in R&D, and we aim to launch them this year. We are focused on enabling enterprises to adopt SaaS efficiently without prolonged deployment cycles,” Vembu stated.
With the growing demand for AI-powered tools in enterprise solutions, Zoho’s efforts to develop in-house AI capabilities indicate a strategic move toward reducing dependency on third-party AI providers while offering businesses customized solutions tailored to their needs.
As Zoho continues to innovate in the SaaS and AI domains, its focus on resolving integration challenges and enhancing security will likely play a crucial role in shaping the future of enterprise software adoption in India.
