The project is a collaboration between Plenty, a vertical farming company, and the global berry brand Driscoll’s, which specializes in premium strawberries. The strawberries produced at the Plenty Richmond Farm are expected to hit grocery store shelves by early 2025, offering consumers a year-round supply of consistently high-quality berries.
What makes the Plenty Richmond Farm stand out is its vertical farming model, which allows crops to be grown in towering, controlled environments, drastically reducing the land needed for cultivation.
