Patna (Bihar) [India], March 9 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said that the NDA government in Bihar will take stringent action against all the ‘land mafias’ and a committee will be formed that will take strict action against those who have taken over the land of the poor and will work towards putting them behind bars.

Shah addressed a public meeting here today and said that the ‘double engine sarkar’ of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) will out land mafias in the state by hanging them upside down.

After arriving in Bihar for the first time after the formation of the NDA-led government, Amit Shah addressed a public meeting with people belonging to the Other Backward Caste (OBC) and Economically Backward Class (EBC) at Paliganj near Patna in Patliputra Lok Sabha Constituency.

Addressing the gathering on Saturday, Shah said, “A double-engine government has again been formed in Bihar, and the BJP government will do the work of straightening the land mafias by hanging them upside down.”

“Now, after the formation of our double-engine government, a committee will be formed that will take strict action against those who have taken over the land of the poor and will work towards putting them behind bars,” said the Union Minister.

Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Home Minister and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, on behalf of the BJP, addressed the Backward-Extreme Backward public meeting at Paliganj in the Patliputra parliamentary constituency of Patna district.

Addressing the gathering, Amit Shah said that the land of Paliganj is the land of heroes.

The Union Minister began his address with a note of appreciation for the people of Bihar and appealed to the voters in Bihar for all 40 seats.

“I want to thank the people of Bihar for their kindness because whenever we come, the people of Bihar have filled our ‘jholi’ vote bank with ‘kamal’ (votes) in favour of the BJP. When we came to Bihar in 2014, the public gave 31 seats to Modiji. In 2019, 39 seats were given and in 2024, we expect 40 out of 40 seats for Modiji,” asserted Shah.

“Brothers and sisters, Prime Minister Modiji has inaugurated and laid the foundation of projects worth over Rs 2 lakh crore across the country. Today, I would like to thank PM Modi on behalf of the people of Bihar for honouring former Chief Minister Karpoori Thakur,” stated Shah.

Hitting out at Lalu Prasad Yadav, the Union Minister said, “Lalu Prasad Yadav was in power in the Congress party for so many years but he did not do anything to honour Karpoori Thakur ji.”

“PM Modi ji did the work of honouring Bharat Ratna to people’s hero ‘Jan Nayak’ Karpoori Thakur. The Congress Party has always taken care of its family and Lalu Prasad Yadav has also only ever worked for his family in the name of the backward classes,” said Shah.

Coming down heavily on the grand old party, Amit Shah said, “Congress leader Sonia Gandhi’s only aim is to make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister and Lalu ji’s only aim is to make his son the Chief Minister.”

Speaking to the public, Amit Shah questioned, “Tell me, will those who want their sons and daughters to become chief ministers and prime ministers be able to do any good to your sons and daughters?

Commending Prime Minister Modi’s work, Amit Shah said, “PM Modi has done a lot of work for the backward and more backward classes in the last 10 years and Congress has insulted those backward classes.”

“Tell me, can the one who has always opposed the backward classes his entire life do the public any good? The only thing they can do is grab the lands of those backward and extreme backward classes,” stated Shah.

“A double-engine government has again been formed in Bihar, and the BJP government will do the work of straightening the land mafias by hanging them upside down,” asserted Shah.

Amit Shah’s Bihar visit today is his first since the formation of the new government in January 2024 with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Shah’s public meeting in Paliganj near Patna will motivate the BJP in five Lok Sabha seats, including Patliputra, Arrah, Patna Sahib, Jahanabad and Hajipur.

The public meeting of the Home Minister is organised by the Bihar BJP OBC Morcha and all preparations were completed by the party workers for the grand success of the meeting. (ANI)
