Monday’s Significance in Sanatan Dharma

In Sanatan Dharma, Monday is dedicated to Lord Mahadev, the god of all gods. On this day, devotees worship Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, the mother of the world. Many people also observe a fast on Monday. The significance of this fast is mentioned in the Shiva Purana, and it is believed that by observing it, one’s desires are fulfilled and blessings of happiness and prosperity are received.

Kashi Vishwanath Temple

The Kashi Vishwanath Temple is one of the most famous temples in the world, located in Kashi, also known as the city of Lord Shiva. The history of this temple dates back centuries, and it is believed that Kashi was once the abode of Lord Shiva. The city, situated on the banks of the holy Ganga River, is renowned for its beauty. People from all around the world visit Kashi to seek blessings from Lord Shiva.

According to religious beliefs, visiting the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and having a glimpse of Lord Shiva fulfills all the desires of the devotee, while also relieving them from all kinds of sufferings, crises, sins, diseases, and defects. Every day, the temple holds Mangla and Saptarshi Aartis, and Bhog Aarti is also performed.

When is the Bhog Aarti Held?

The Bhog Aarti at Kashi Vishwanath Temple is held every day from 9:00 PM to 10:15 PM. There are four aartis performed in the temple daily, and the last one is the Bhog Aarti. In this aarti, offerings or prasads are presented to Lord Shiva, the God of all gods. Goddess Parvati, also known as Annapurna (the provider of food), is worshipped along with Lord Shiva. Worshipping Lord Shiva and Goddess Annapurna ensures that there is no shortage of food or wealth in a devotee’s life, along with the attainment of all kinds of happiness. Devotees are allowed to enter the temple for the Bhog Aarti till 8:30 PM. Children under 12 years of age are allowed free entry.

Significance of Bhog Aarti

The greatness of Lord Shiva is unparalleled. He relieves his devotees from all their troubles and showers them with his boundless grace. With his blessings, the wishes of his devotees are fulfilled. Worshipping Lord Shiva brings happiness and peace into one’s life. It is believed that just a visit to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple can eliminate all of a person’s suffering, and their wishes will soon be granted. A large number of devotees take part in the Bhog Aarti every day.
