New Delhi, 10 September (HS): USA has confirmed to host the G-20 summit in 2026. This conference will be held in the capital Washington, according to media reports based on a statement issued by the White House on Saturday.
According to Media reports, the White House said that the G-20 summit being held in New Delhi is a big step towards finding solutions to the most serious issues. The White House has said that the US is committed to building on the progress made under India’s G-20 chairmanship. It will start with the presidency of Brazil in 2024 and South Africa in 2025.
At a time when the global economy is grappling with many problems like the climate crisis and the Russia-Ukraine war, this year’s New Delhi summit, chaired by India, proved that the G-20 is still able to deal with the most serious issues.
The USA welcomed the African Union’s joining as a permanent member of the G-20. Africa plays an important role in the global economy. It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday had announced the African Union’s joining as the 21st member of G-20.
