US President Joe Biden, currently recovering from Covid-19, has sharply criticized former President Donald Trump over his recent speech at the Republican National Convention (RNC). US President Joe Biden, who described the experience of watching former President Donald Trump’s speech as a “distinct misfortune,” took to social media to express his frustration and challenge former President Donald Trump’s statements.

In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), US President Joe Biden questioned former President Donald Trump’s remarks, particularly those related to the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic. US President Joe Biden referenced a video clip of former President Donald Trump discussing his approach to Covid-19 and remarked, “What the hell was he talking about?” He accused former President Donald Trump of making irresponsible suggestions during the pandemic, pointing to a notorious incident where former President Donald Trump speculated about using disinfectants as a treatment. US President Joe Biden reminded his followers of former President Donald Trump’s controversial suggestion to inject bleach, which came amid a surge in Covid-19 deaths in the US.

During his RNC speech, former President Donald Trump claimed that his administration handled the initial Covid-19 outbreak effectively and suggested that no one understood the virus at the time. He had previously discussed disinfectants and UV light as potential treatments, sparking widespread criticism. former President Donald Trump’s comments were part of a broader narrative he presented at the RNC, where he claimed credit for his administration’s response to the pandemic.

US President Joe Biden also used his social media platform to counter former President Donald Trump’s claims about his record on social security, inflation, and other policy issues. He alleged that former President Donald Trump had proposed cutting Social Security and Medicare throughout his presidency and would continue to do so if re-elected. US President Joe Biden argued that former President Donald Trump’s promises to cut taxes and reduce inflation were misleading and criticized former President Donald Trump for his proposed Project 2025 agenda, which US President Joe Biden claims would lead to higher taxes on the middle class and worsen inflation.

The current President also addressed former President Donald Trump’s stance on electric vehicles, suggesting that former President Donald Trump’s claims of an electric car mandate were false and asserting that American manufacturing is thriving under his administration. Biden refuted former President Donald Trump’s assertions about job creation, emphasizing that his administration’s bipartisan legislation had created nearly 800,000 new manufacturing jobs.

US President Joe Biden further denounced former President Donald Trump’s alleged plans for mass detention of immigrants and criticized his past handling of the deficit and taxes. He rebuked former President Donald Trump’s praise for authoritarian leaders, calling it indicative of former President Donald Trump’s own dictatorial aspirations. US President Joe Biden also mocked former President Donald Trump’s rhetoric about unions, asserting his own administration’s strong pro-worker stance.

In a pointed conclusion, US President Joe Biden criticized former President Donald Trump for what he perceived as misleading and exaggerated statements throughout his speech. He ended his series of posts by encouraging his supporters to contribute to his campaign, underscoring his commitment to addressing what he views as former President Donald Trump’s flawed policies and promises.

The exchange between the two political figures highlights the ongoing tensions and contentious debate as the 2024 election approaches, with US President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump continuing to clash on various issues that are critical to their respective campaigns.
