Oman has strongly condemned the recent deadly attack by Israeli occupation forces on unarmed Palestinian civilians in northern Gaza, emphasizing the urgent need for international intervention to address the dire humanitarian situation in the region. The attack, which targeted civilians awaiting food supplies, resulted in the tragic loss of numerous lives and left many others injured.
In an official statement, Oman’s Foreign Ministry expressed its unequivocal denunciation of these barbaric acts, highlighting the blatant violation of international humanitarian laws and norms. The statement underscored that such systematic violence represents a continuation of Israel’s policy of aggression and oppression against the Palestinian people.
The Omani Foreign Minister urgently called upon the international community to intervene decisively to end the tragic humanitarian conditions in Gaza. Additionally, Oman stressed the importance of holding the occupying state accountable for its relentless targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.
“The Sultanate of Oman calls on the international community to intervene urgently and decisively to put an end to the tragic humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip and to hold the occupying state fully responsible for its targeting of civilians and civilian facilities in the Gaza Strip,” the Ministry emphasized.
Despite mounting international condemnation, Israel has continued its military offensive in Gaza, resulting in the loss of thousands of Palestinian lives. Global think tanks and the international community have echoed the call for immediate action to alleviate the suffering of the people of Gaza and to bring an end to the cycle of violence and oppression perpetuated by the Israeli occupation forces.
