Significantly, the Civil Services Preliminary Examination for the year 2024 is slated to take place on June 16, 2024. In terms of vacancies, the UPSC has announced a total of 1,056 vacancies for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) and 150 vacancies for the Indian Forest Service (IFoS). Notably, this allocation marks a decrease from the previous year’s vacancies, indicating potential adjustments in organizational requirements and priorities.

The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination comprises two papers of objective type, with each paper carrying a maximum of 400 marks.
