In a significant step toward enhancing diplomatic and economic relations, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the United Arab Emirates’ Minister of Foreign Affairs, engaged in pivotal discussions with his Czech counterpart, Jan Lipavsky, in Prague. This meeting, part of Sheikh Abdullah’s official work visit, underscored the mutual interest in deepening bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
The dialogue centered on expanding UAE-Czech collaboration, particularly in economic, investment, and developmental fields, aiming to mutually benefit both nations and their peoples. Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the UAE’s commitment to broadening its relationship with the Czech Republic across diverse domains, celebrating the ongoing growth in cooperation levels between the two countries.
Jan Lipavsky, the Czech Republic’s Foreign Minister, expressed a warm welcome to Sheikh Abdullah and his delegation, indicating his country’s eagerness to strengthen ties with the UAE in multiple areas.
The discussions also ventured into the pressing issues of the Middle East, focusing on the situation in the Gaza Strip and its humanitarian impact. Sheikh Abdullah called for the amalgamation of regional and international efforts to establish a lasting ceasefire, highlighting the importance of safeguarding civilian security and amplifying humanitarian initiatives to mitigate the crisis in Gaza.
Both ministers underscored the critical need for international collaboration to cease extremism, reduce tensions, and halt violence in the region, with a special emphasis on preserving civilian lives and enhancing humanitarian aid for the Gazan populace.
The meeting saw the participation of key diplomatic figures, including Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs, Dr. Ghalia Ali Al Humaidan, Charge d’Affaires at the UAE Embassy in the Czech Republic, and Jiri Kozak, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
