A tragic incident unfolded in the Rupaspur area of Patna, Bihar, where a four-year-old girl was shot and killed by unidentified assailants on Tuesday night.
The victim, who lived with her family in rented accommodation, became the target of the attack shortly after her father, Hari Om Kumar, a medical representative, returned home at nightfall.
According to Kumar, as he parked his motorbike outside their home, his daughter was at the door. While Kumar was occupied with parking, his wife went inside to store groceries, leaving the girl momentarily outside. It was during this time that a gunshot rang out.
“When we rushed out, we found our daughter lying in a pool of blood,” recounted a distraught Kumar. The family rushed the child to a nearby private hospital, but tragically, medical efforts were in vain as doctors pronounced her dead.
