Tejashwi Yadav, former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), sharply criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the alarming increase in crime across Bihar. Tejashwi Yadav’s remarks follow a tragic incident where a four-year-old girl was fatally shot outside her home in Patna on Tuesday, adding to a list of 41 recent crimes including rapes, murders, and robberies documented by Tejashwi Yadav.
The young victim lived with her family in rented accommodation, and the incident unfolded as her father, Hari Om Kumar, a medical representative, returned home at night. Upon his arrival, his daughter was near the door, while his wife went inside to store groceries. A gunshot rang out shortly after, prompting the parents to rush outside to find their daughter fatally wounded.
Police authorities are actively reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify the perpetrators, assuring swift and stringent action once the culprits are apprehended.
Tejashwi Yadav’s criticism underscores mounting public concern over the surge in criminal activities in Bihar, with the RJD leader denouncing the state government’s handling of law and order. The tragic shooting has reignited calls for improved safety measures and accountability amid rising crime rates in the region.
As the situation continues to unfold, political leaders and authorities are under increasing pressure to address public safety concerns and implement effective measures to curb criminal activities across Bihar.
