New Delhi, September 4 : The public sector State Bank of India (SBI) on Monday announced a new facility for customers. SBI has announced to implement ‘UPI Interoperability’ in its digital e-Rupee. Under this, it will be easier for SBI customers to make payments digitally.
SBI Introduces UPI Interoperability in Digital e-Rupee | RBI’s CBDC
According to the statement issued by SBI, it has implemented ‘UPI interoperability’ in its digital e-rupee. SBI has announced the facility of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) interoperability on the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) e-Rupee (CBDC). The RBI’s digital rupee is called Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).

The bank said customers will be able to easily ‘scan’ any UPI QR code and make payments without any hassle. Public sector bank SBI is one of the few major banks to participate in the digital e-Rupee project of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
