The ninety-year-old writer has been placed on ventilator support as doctors continue to monitor his recovery. His condition has drawn significant attention across the film fraternity, with leading actors and family members visiting the hospital over the past several days.
Hospital authorities confirmed that Salim Khan was brought to the emergency department on Tuesday morning at approximately 8:30 AM. A specialised medical team was formed immediately to assess and stabilise his condition. The team includes neurologist Dr. Vinay Chavan, cardiologist Dr. Ajit Menon, neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, and Dr. Bineet Ahluwalia. On Wednesday, pulmonologist Dr. Jalil Parker shared that Salim Khan had undergone Digital Subtraction Angiography, commonly referred to as cerebral angiography, a diagnostic imaging procedure used to detect blockages in blood vessels.
Doctors clarified that the procedure was not brain surgery but a high-resolution diagnostic evaluation. Following the procedure, Salim Khan was kept under close observation. Medical officials stated that he would not be discharged immediately and would remain under supervision for several days. His condition was described as stable, and doctors indicated signs of recovery.
However, subsequent reports suggest that Salman Khan has requested hospital authorities to refrain from issuing further public health updates. The decision reportedly reflects the family’s desire for privacy during a sensitive time.

For three consecutive days, Salman Khan was seen arriving at Lilavati Hospital to visit his father.
