Mere days after PM Modi and President Putin engaged in a telephonic conversation, Russia on Thursday said that the Indian Prime Minister has an open invitation to visit the nation.
Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, replying to a question over President Putin’s extended invitation to PM Modi, in a presser said that a meeting between the two leaders will take place in any case. However, details over the same were still to be worked out.
“Of course, the Indian Prime Minister also has an open invitation to visit our country. This has yet to be agreed through diplomatic channels,” Spokesperson Peskov told reporters.
“In any case, meetings will take place in the first half of this year, we hope, in a multilateral format, and there will also be bilateral talks on the margins,” the Kremlin Spokesperson added.
