Ricky Ponting, the head coach of Delhi Capitals (DC), has lauded the Indian Premier League (IPL) as the foremost domestic T20 competition globally. Ponting expressed his belief that emerging talents like Jake Fraser-McGurk can significantly benefit from participating in the IPL, citing it as an invaluable learning experience.
Ahead of DC’s clash against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Ponting emphasized the developmental potential of the IPL for young cricketers. He noted that Fraser-McGurk, despite showcasing exceptional talent with an explosive 18-ball 65 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), remains a work in progress and can refine his skills in the competitive environment of the IPL.
