Renowned actors Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Dhanush, and Vijay Sethupathi exercised their democratic rights by casting their votes in the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections 2024 in Chennai.
Rajinikanth, the legendary superstar, arrived at his designated polling booth in Poes Garden to cast his vote amidst the ongoing electoral process. Accompanied by his publicist and team, Rajinikanth greeted onlookers and media personnel before displaying his inked finger, symbolizing his participation in the electoral process.
Kamal Haasan, not only an esteemed actor but also the president of Makkal Needhi Maiam, arrived at his polling booth to cast his vote, demonstrating his commitment to civic duty.
Actor Dhanush, known for his versatile performances, exercised his voting right at the St Francis Xavier School, TTK Road, marking his contribution to the electoral process.
Vijay Sethupathi, another celebrated figure in Tamil cinema, participated in the electoral process by casting his vote at the Chennai High School in Kilpauk.
The Lok Sabha Elections 2024 commenced on April 19, with Tamil Nadu among the states voting in the first phase of elections. As these prominent actors fulfill their civic responsibilities, other personalities from the film industry, including Ajith Kumar, Sivakarthikeyan, Gautham Karthik, directors Sundar C, Vetri Maaran, and Sasikumar, among others, have also exercised their voting rights.
In terms of their professional endeavors, Rajinikanth is set to appear in director TJ Gnanavel’s ‘Vettaiyan’, featuring a star-studded ensemble cast. Dhanush, on the other hand, has projects such as ‘Raayan’, ‘Kubera’, and ‘Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam’ in the pipeline, showcasing his diverse acting repertoire.
