The Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the recruitment processes of state employees over the past five years. This comes amidst allegations of fraudulent activities in securing government jobs.
In an official statement, the government revealed concerns over individuals reportedly obtaining positions through the submission of fake educational documents and using proxy candidates to take exams on their behalf. Consequently, the state has initiated a thorough review of all recruitments made during this period.
“The state government has been informed that in the recruitments made in various departments over the past five years, some candidates have obtained government jobs by presenting fake educational qualification documents and using dummy candidates to sit for the exams,” the order reads.
To address these concerns, each department has been instructed to form an internal committee to investigate the legitimacy of the individuals who took the exams and those employed as public servants. This investigation will include scrutinizing educational qualification documents, application forms, photos, and signatures of recruited employees.
“After the investigation, information about employees whose recruitments appear suspicious should be provided to the SOG,” the order concludes, indicating a decisive step towards ensuring the integrity of the recruitment process.
