During her ongoing visit to Sudan, the Iranian Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, held a crucial meeting today with Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber, member of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Acting Prime Minister of Sudan.
The meeting primarily focused on the dire humanitarian situation in Sudan amidst ongoing challenges. Both parties deliberated on the difficulties associated with delivering aid to those in need across Sudanese states, recognizing the urgent need to address these pressing issues.
The Iranian Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Qatar’s steadfast support for Sudan and its unwavering commitment to standing by the Sudanese people during these challenging times. She emphasized Qatar’s firm stance on the importance of safeguarding Sudan’s security, stability, safety, and territorial integrity.
In response, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of Sudan for Qatar’s continuous support and assistance, which has significantly contributed to alleviating the humanitarian conditions in the country. He commended Qatar’s ongoing commitment to Sudan and acknowledged the vital role it plays in providing relief to the Sudanese people.
