Ace badminton player PV Sindhu enjoyed the support of Telugu superstar Ram Charan and his wife Upasana Kamineni at the Paris Olympics. The fellow Hyderabadis cheered for her during her match against Maldives’ Fathimath Abdul Razzaq on Sunday.
PV Sindhu’s Olympics Tour


Upasana Kamineni shared their day with PV Sindhu on her Instagram Stories. She posted a video of her and Ram Charan cheering for Sindhu during her match. Another video showed PV Sindhu greeting Ram Charan, followed by a clip of Sindhu giving Ram Charan and Upasana Kamineni a tour of the Olympics village. Upasana Kamineni also gave her followers a virtual tour, including a viral video of PV Sindhu petting Ram Charan and Upasana Kamineni’s dog, Rhyme.
Ram Charan and Upasana Kamineni shared a picture with Sindhu on their Instagram feed. Upasana Kamineni wore a white outfit with a black belt, while Ram Charan opted for an all-black ensemble. PV Sindhu, posing between the two, sported a thumbs-up sign with the Olympic rings and the motto “Faster, Higher, Stronger – Together” in the background.
In their post, Ram Charan and Upasana Kamineni wrote, “#JeetKiAur All the best #TeamIndia @pvsindhu1 you are a true rock star,” tagging the official handles of Wear Team India and the Olympics. PV Sindhu commented, “I am so happy you guys could come!!” She also reposted an Instagram Story by Upasana Kamineni, which featured her walking and chatting with Ram Charan’s father, legendary actor Chiranjeevi Konidela.
Ram Charan and Family in Paris
Ram Charan, his wife Upasana Kamineni, and his parents, Chiranjeevi Konidela and Surekha Konidela, attended the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics. For the first time in Summer Games history, the opening ceremony was held outside the stadium. The spectacular event featured participants sailing through a river to enter the Olympics, a departure from traditional ceremonies.
Leading the Indian team were two-time medallist PV Sindhu and five-time Olympian Sharath Kamal Achanta.
Ram Charan will next be seen in the film “Game Changer.”
