Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) [India], November 11 (ANI): As the polling dates for elections across states near, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav exuded confidence in public’s trust in BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he claimed that “there is no trust in Congress’ words.”

Speaking to ANI in Gwalior on Monday, CM Yadav stressed that the Prime Minister is leading the development by taking the public into confidence.

“The public has already understood their (Congress) words and there is no trust in Congress’s words. The way the country is moving forward under the leadership of the BJP and the Prime Minister, its results are seen. The public trusts BJP and PM Modi. The Prime Minister is leading the development by taking the public into confidence,” the CM said.

“I have full faith that the truth will prevail in the upcoming elections. They (Congress) have faced a defeat in Haryana and PM Modi’s government has been formed for the third time in the recently concluded elections. The same results will happen in Maharashtra too,” he added.

Earlier on Sunday, the opposition alliance, Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) released its manifesto in the run-up to the Maharashtra assembly elections.

The manifesto highlighted ‘five guarantees’ for Maharashtra, including conducting a caste census in the state. The opposition alliance also promised to waive off farm loans and vowed to provide a Rs 25 lakh health cover to the farmers.

Speaking on occasion, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge said, “Our 5 guarantees will be helpful in the welfare of all in Maharashtra. Every family will receive an annual aid of about Rs 3 lakh. Our Mahalakshmi scheme will give financial aid to all women, who will be given Rs 3000 each, every month. We will launch a free bus service for the women of Maharashtra.”

“We will give an amount of Rs 50,000 each to farmers who repay their loans on time,” he added.

Maharashtra Assembly elections are scheduled for November 20, with votes for all 288 constituencies to be counted on November 23. (ANI)
