Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at an India TV event, addressed various issues including allegations against India regarding targeted assassinations in Pakistan and Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar’s remarks on respecting Pakistan due to its nuclear capability.
PM Modi refuted claims by saying he personally visited Lahore in 2015 to assess its power. He asserted, “Uss taakat ko mei khud Lahore jaakar check karke aaya hu (I had personally visited Lahore to check how powerful it is).”
He expressed his belief that he has been sent by God for a special purpose, aiming to achieve a developed India (‘Viksit Bharat’) by 2047. PM Modi emphasized his dedication, stating he should work tirelessly until this goal is realized.
Regarding political targets, PM Modi highlighted the significance of the BJP winning 370 seats, symbolizing national unity. He emphasized that the Opposition is likely to face defeat, projecting BJP’s victory with 370 seats in upcoming elections.
Responding to allegations of agency misuse, PM Modi defended the Enforcement Directorate’s actions, citing their seizure of Rs 2200 crore in cash. He accused the Opposition of objecting due to the funds’ origin and affirmed his 2014 election focus on combating corruption.
