Speaking at the public event, PM Narendra Modi reaffirmed his commitment to the mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” and said his administration continues to work with the same spirit. Criticizing the opposition, he remarked that their agenda revolves around “Parivar ka Saath, Parivar ka Vikas.”

Kashi’s Transformation and National Progress

The Prime Minister highlighted Varanasi’s transformation over the last decade, calling it a model of balanced development where tradition meets modernity. He noted how the city, once plagued by a lack of healthcare facilities, has emerged as a health hub in Purvanchal, with renowned hospitals from Delhi and Mumbai setting up local branches.

PM Narendra Modi also praised the rise in international recognition of Indian products, pointing out that Uttar Pradesh now leads in GI (Geographical Indication) tagging. Items from Varanasi, including musical instruments like tabla and shehnai and sweets like red peda and barfi, have earned global acclaim.

Youth Empowerment and Olympic Aspirations

Addressing the youth, PM Modi discussed the growing sports infrastructure in the region, urging young people in Varanasi to aim for excellence with an eye on the 2036 Olympics. New stadiums, a sports complex, and better training facilities have been developed to promote athletic talent.

He said India is preparing to host the Olympics in 2036 and called upon the youth of Kashi to be ready to win medals for the country.

PM Narendra Modi also referred to initiatives like the Kashi Tamil Sangamam as efforts to enhance national unity through cultural exchange.

Among the projects inaugurated were 130 rural drinking water schemes, 100 anganwadi centers, 356 libraries, a polytechnic college in Pindra, and a government degree college. He also opened a transit hostel and police barracks.

During his visit, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed the recent gang-rape case in the city and instructed officials to take the strongest possible action and implement preventive measures.
