Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the INDIA bloc during a rally in Bihar’s Pataliputra Lok Sabha constituency, accusing them of attempting to manipulate reservations for Dalits and backward classes. PM Modi alleged that the bloc was prioritizing the Muslim vote bank over the rights of SCs, STs, and OBCs, referring to their actions as “enslavement” and likening them to performing “mujra” for political gain.
Addressing the crowd, PM Modi vowed to counter any efforts by the INDIA bloc to divert reservations meant for marginalized communities to Muslims. He criticized parties like RJD and Congress for allegedly depriving SCs, STs, and OBCs of their quotas in minority institutions.
PM Modi also took a dig at the opposition alliance, accusing them of relying on support from those engaging in “vote jihad.” He referenced a recent Calcutta High Court order that invalidated the West Bengal government’s decision to include certain Muslim groups in the OBC list.
During the rally, PM Modi urged voters to exercise their franchise wisely, emphasizing the significance of their vote in shaping the country’s future. He campaigned for BJP MP Ram Kripal Yadav and urged attendees to prepare for voting on June 4, when the Lok Sabha election results would be announced.
PM Modi didn’t shy away from mocking RJD chief Lalu Prasad, indirectly referring to him as someone stuck in the past and out of touch with modern advancements. He criticized the legacy politics within opposition parties and emphasized the need for strong leadership on the world stage.
Promising faster development for Bihar, PM Modi assured the crowd of improved infrastructure and access to essentials like electricity and housing. He criticized the previous Congress-led UPA government for its perceived lack of commitment to providing free food grains to the public.
Taking a swipe at exit polls predicting a decline in the NDA’s performance, PM Modi accused the INDIA bloc of prematurely judging election outcomes and hinted at potential complaints about electronic voting machines (EVMs) in the future.
