The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) announced the 15-member Indian Rifle and Pistol team for the 2024 Paris Olympics on Tuesday, following a virtual meeting of the senior selection committee.
Women’s pistol sensation Manu Bhaker headlines the team, participating in both the women’s 10m air pistol and the women’s 25m pistol events.
The team composition includes eight shooters in the rifle discipline and seven in pistol, with all members currently attending a training camp in Volmerange-Les-Mines, France, for acclimatization and rigorous training before a two-week break back home.
India secured a record 21 quotas in Shooting for the upcoming Paris Olympic Games.
In addition to vying for medals across eight individual rifle and pistol events, India will field five mixed teams, including two in rifle and pistol each, and one in shotgun.

The Shotgun team will be announced following the ongoing ISSF World Cup in Lonato, Italy. Additionally, the NRAI will explore options to utilize a spare quota spot, courtesy of Manu Bhaker’s dual event qualification, in accordance with ISSF regulations.
