BTS’ eldest member, Kim Seokjin – Jin, has completed his mandatory military service and returned today, June 12, in the presence of his loved ones. As Jin passed through the Army Division, all his bandmates – RM, J-hope, V, Jungkook, and Jimin – were present to welcome him. Meanwhile, Suga joined them later at the Hybe building.
The reunion has sparked excitement among fans, occurring a day before the group celebrates their 11th debut anniversary. RM played the saxophone, and Jungkook warmly greeted Jin as they met, reflecting the close bond between the group members. The group shared an OT7 picture on their official X handle, the first in 18 months.
During his military service, Jin served as an assistant drill instructor at the Army recruit training in Yeoncheon. His return has been marked by a warm reception from staff and fans alike, with Jin scheduled to host a 3-hour meet-and-greet with fans in Seoul, arranged by BigHit Music upon his request.
Following his return, Kim Seokjin is reportedly set to release a solo album in the next quarter. Meanwhile, the other six members are in the process of completing their mandatory military service, with J-hope expected to be the next to return, followed by the remaining members in June 2025.
BTS is anticipated to reconvene as a group in 2025.
