The announcement was made by the Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADGPI) of the Army, highlighting the force’s commitment to nurturing sports talent within its ranks.

General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), recently interacted with the athletes via video conference. During the interaction, he extended his best wishes to the athletes, praising their dedication and hard work. He emphasized that their achievements are a source of immense pride for both the Indian Army and the nation.

The ADGPI’s post stated, “General Upendra Dwivedi, COAS, interacted with Indian Army athletes who are set to represent India in the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024. COAS extended his best wishes to the athletes and expressed his admiration for their dedication and hard work, emphasizing that their achievements are a source of immense pride for the Indian Army and the nation.”
