In response, OpenAI has unveiled the “deep research” tool, which the company claims can achieve in minutes what would traditionally take hours for a human researcher to complete. The tool is designed to act as an independent agent, capable of processing and synthesizing vast amounts of online data to generate a comprehensive report akin to the work of a research analyst. In addition to this product release, OpenAI’s CEO Sam Altman is currently in Tokyo, Japan, where he is set to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba to discuss artificial intelligence developments.
