Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said received a written message from the King of Jordan Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, highlighting the existing cooperation between Oman and Jordan across various fields within the framework of their strong bilateral relations.
The message was delivered during a reception at Al-Baraka Palace for Ayman Al-Safadi, Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, who conveyed the greetings and well wishes of King Abdullah II to Sultan Haitham for his good health and the prosperity of the Omani people.
In a statement released, the Omani Foreign Ministry said, “During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister conveyed the greetings and wishes of the King to His Majesty the Sultan for good health and wellness and to the Omani people for further progress and prosperity.”
Further, in response, Sultan Haitham also reciprocated the goodwill, extending his greetings and wishes for the Jordanian King’s health and the continued progress and prosperity of the Jordanian people.
Significantly, the meeting underscored the robust ties between Oman and Jordan, with discussions revolving around the latest developments in the Palestinian territories and concerted efforts toward achieving a ceasefire. Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi and Amjad Jamil Quhaiwi, Jordan’s Ambassador to Oman, were also present during the meeting, affirming the commitment of both nations to fostering cooperation and stability in the region.
