The National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully administered the third day of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) – 2024 across India. The examination encompassed subjects such as Geography, Physical Education/NCC/Yoga, Business Studies, and Accountancy.
NTA revealed that nearly 9.31% of the total examination had been completed by the third day. With approximately 620 centers nationwide and abroad, covering around 5.39 lakh test papers, the examination process was conducted smoothly.
According to official information from NTA, a remarkable 81.31% of the CUET (UG) – 2024 examination has been concluded within three days, from May 15 to May 17, 2024. The agency attributed this success to the early announcement of the examination schedule and the allocation of centers near candidates’ residences, based on their preferences.
This year marked the first time the CUET (UG) – 2024 examination was conducted in pen and paper mode for 15 subjects across various international locations, including Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Brasilia, Cape Town, and others.
CUET UG 2024 commenced on May 15 and will continue until May 29. The examination is being conducted in multiple shifts for different subjects. While exams from May 15-18 were held in pen and paper mode, the remaining papers in 2024 will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode from May 21-24.
A total of about 13.48 lakh unique candidates are participating in the CUET (UG) in a hybrid format, involving both CBT and pen-and-paper modes, encompassing 57.95 lakh subject combinations.
