The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially commenced the registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2024 on February 9, 2024. Aspiring candidates aiming to pursue medical education can now apply for the examination through the designated portal, neet.ntaonline.in.

According to the information bulletin released by NTA, the deadline for NEET UG 2024 registration is set for March 9, 2024. Eligible candidates, including those who have appeared for the Class 12 board examination and have either passed the exam or are awaiting results, are encouraged to complete the application process within the stipulated time frame.

It is important to note that candidates who have completed their Class 12 education through Open School or as private candidates are not eligible to participate in the NEET UG examination.

Scheduled to take place on May 5, 2024, the NEET UG 2024 exam will span over a duration of 3 hours and 20 minutes. The test pattern comprises four subjects, each divided into two sections. Section A consists of 35 questions, while Section B presents 15 questions, of which candidates are required to attempt any 10. This format maintains consistency in the total number of questions and time utilization.

Applicants are required to pay an application fee to complete the registration process. For candidates belonging to the General/NRI category, the fee is ₹1700/-, while those falling under the General-EWS/OBC-NCL category are required to pay ₹1600/-. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender categories are subject to an application fee of ₹1000/-. All payments must be made through online mode.

Aspiring candidates are advised to refer to the official website of NTA NEET for further details and updates related to the examination.
