The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is set to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 on Sunday, August 11, 2024. This examination is crucial for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate medical programs.
Candidates who have registered for NEET PG 2024 are advised to report to the ‘Reporting Counter’ at their designated test venue according to the time specified on their admit cards. To manage crowding and streamline the entry process, candidates have been assigned staggered reporting time slots. The reporting counter will close 30 minutes before the exam starts to facilitate security checks, identity verification, and check-in procedures.
The schedule for the exam day is as follows:
– Test centers will open for registration at 7:00 AM.
– Entry to the examination center will close at 8:30 AM.
– Candidate login access will commence at 8:45 AM.
– Instructions reading will start at 8:50 AM.
– The exam will begin at 9:00 AM and conclude at 12:30 PM.
Upon arrival at the test center, candidates will undergo identity verification to prevent unauthorized individuals from taking the exam. Essential documents to bring include:
– A printed copy of the Barcoded/QR Coded Admit Card.
– A photocopy of the Permanent/Provisional SMC/MCI/NMC registration, which will be retained by the test center.
– One valid government-issued photo ID, which can be a PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, or Aadhaar Card (with photograph). Candidates must ensure that the ID is original and valid, as entry will be denied without it.
The NEET PG 2024 will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode featuring multiple-choice questions. The examination will consist of 200 questions, each with four possible answers. Candidates will have 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete the test. There will be a penalty of 25% for incorrect answers, while unattempted questions will not incur any penalties. Additionally, candidates will have the option to mark questions for review, allowing them to revisit these questions before the exam ends. All questions marked for review will be evaluated according to the established marking scheme.
