  • Unique Safari Peaceful, picturesque experiences in open national park zones.
  • Monsoon Marvel Explore vibrant wildlife and lush greenery.

Monsoon can be a magical time to visit national parks in India, as the rains bring lush greenery and vibrant wildlife. While many parks close during this season, several remain open and offer unique experiences. Uttarakhand and Kerala are two states where you can enjoy the beauty of nature even during the rainy months.

Uttarakhand: A monsoon wonderland

1. Rajaji National Park: This park remains open during monsoon and offers a stunning landscape with the Shivalik ranges. Visitors can enjoy the sight of elephants, tigers, and a variety of birds. The park’s lush environment becomes even more captivating with the monsoon showers.

2. Jim Corbett National Park: Though some zones close during the monsoon, the Jhirna and Dhela zones remain open. These zones are less crowded and offer a peaceful experience. The greenery and riverbeds become more picturesque, providing a unique safari experience.

Kerala: The rain-soaked paradise

1. Periyar National Park: Known for its rich biodiversity, Periyar is open throughout the year. The monsoon season enhances its beauty with abundant flora and fauna. Boat safaris on Periyar Lake offer a chance to see elephants, bison, and a variety of bird species in their natural habitat.

2. Silent Valley National Park: This park is an untouched haven in the Western Ghats. The monsoon transforms it into a lush green paradise. Trekking through the misty forests is a surreal experience, with sightings of rare species like the lion-tailed macaque.

Planning your visit

When visiting these parks during the monsoon, it is essential to be prepared for the weather. Carrying rain gear, wearing appropriate footwear, and being cautious of slippery trails are important. Monsoon also means fewer crowds, allowing for a more intimate experience with nature.

Additionally, maintaining a healthy diet to boost immunity is crucial during the rainy season as many people get affected by the seasonal illness such as viral, flu & fever. Including Ayurvedic supplements like Dabur Chyawanprash can help strengthen the immune system. Made from over 40 potent herbs such as Amla, Giloy, and Bilva, Dabur Chyawanprash is an excellent source of antiviral, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties. Regular consumption helps protect the body from seasonal illnesses and ensures overall well-being.

While monsoon might deter some travelers, it offers a unique opportunity to witness the rejuvenation of nature in Uttarakhand and Kerala’s national parks. These parks, open during the rainy season, provide a serene and picturesque escape, perfect for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers.
