Additionally, he will participate in two NDA meetings for the Lok Sabha Election 2024 in Andhra Pradesh, alongside alliance partners TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan. The high-intensity campaign for the third phase of Lok Sabha elections concluded on Sunday evening in 92 seats spread over 11 states and Union Territories. The BJP-led NDA and the INDIA bloc fiercely attacked each other on issues like reservations and sexual harassment charges against JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna.
The stakes are crucial for the BJP in this phase, as the party had won an overwhelming majority of these seats in 2019, including all in Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh, which will go to polls on May 7.
PM Modi is expected to arrive at Rajamahendravaram airport around noon. He will address his first meeting here at 3:30 pm and then proceed to Anakapalli for the second meeting scheduled at 5:30 pm. The twin PM meetings, dubbed ‘Prajagalam’ (people’s voice), precede Andhra Pradesh’s simultaneous assembly and Lok Sabha elections on May 13.
Kanhaiya Kumar, the Congress candidate from the Northeast Delhi constituency, will file his nomination for the May 25 Lok Sabha elections on Monday. The former student leader will also lead a procession from near Maujpur Metro Station to the election office to file his nomination.
The Pune unit of the NCP(SP) has announced the cancellation of party chief Sharad Pawar’s events on Monday due to health reasons. Prashant Jagtap, the city president of NCP (SP), stated that Pawar experienced discomfort in the throat while addressing a rally in Baramati in support of his daughter and sitting MP Supriya Sule earlier in the day. All engagements of Pawar, including political rallies, scheduled for Monday have been called off over health reasons, with the NCP (SP) president resting at his home in Baramati.
